At Cottonwood we love kids.  We desire to nurture faith from the nursery throughout life.  We look forward to sharing our love of God with your kids.  We hope kids join us in worship, but there is child-care available.  We have a Sunday School program that includes a children’s choir as well as educational opportunities.  We also have a Church School program that takes place during the 11:00 a.m. worship service immediately following the Children’s Sermon.  In the summer we have a Vacation Bible School and through the year we have service and fellowship opportunities for kids and their families.  We invite you to check out our ministry to kids.

COTTONWOOD  PRESBYTERIAN … A PLACE FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN

WELCOMING CHILDREN IN WORSHIP

Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” Mark 9:37

We believe at Cottonwood that worship is an essential way we learn what it means to be Christian. By enabling children to worship with their families, and the larger church family, every Sunday, they learn that they belong to Christ and are welcome in his church. They learn the Lord’s Prayer, participate in communion, witness baptism, and other parts of the liturgy.

In addition to the enrichment they receive in worship, Children’s Church School reinforces church worship and follows the Liturgical calendar. They hear stories from the Bible read and interpreted. They are enriched by the beauty of music and art as expressions of praise and as their responses to God. They build a store of the accumulated shared experiences of Christian community from which they may draw when they are older. They discover that they are valued as persons by God and by the people of God.
