We are all aware that buildings don’t take care of themselves. We give thanks for the Buildings and Grounds Committee that works tirelessly to care for the facility and the property. If you have an interest in helping maintain and improve the facilities of Cottonwood your gifts would be put to good use on this committee. Come and join the team!
BUILDING AND GROUNDS - We are very happy to report that we have two new members on the committee; Deb Howe and Dick Bowen and we thank them for volunteering.
The Committee report is for January and February. We held our monthly meetings and work days and on the agenda there are twenty five housekeeping items and seven (7) long term project.
During the last two month we accomplished: General cleaning of main kitchen, hanging pastor pictures and plaques on the office walls, completed nursery room items, painted the floor registers and vacuumed the vents, repaired shelving and other minor items, installed the new picture molding on the educational hall walls, cleaned up and rearranged the storage area in the Fellowship Hall, electrical repairs were made and the thermostat gauge for the freezer in the main kitchen was replace, janitorial room in the west wing was cleaned up and rearranged and there is still work left.
In February we spent much of our time setting up the Gym for the memorial service for our good friend Hal Aure. Hal was a true leader with his devotion and encouragement to this Church and to other Presbyterian churches in Utah and to his friends and family. With Love in our hearts we say, “Goodbye my friend”
As you can see there is much to do and the Building and Grounds Committee is asking for your involvement in the work and mission of the committee. We can utilize a wide variety of talents and skills. If you are interested please contact a committee member or come and join us on (the 1st Saturday of the month at 9:00 a.m.) in our endeavors and fellowship.
