Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women is a national organization within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).  The group works to support women spiritually through Bible study as well as providing a place for fellowship and opportunities for education and mission.  The women of Cottonwood gather regularly and invite you to participate with them.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN – SAVE THE DATE! On Saturday, November 22, at noon in
the Fellowship Hall, CPW will hostess Kristyn Decker who will speak on her
first-hand knowledge of polygamy. A soup and salad lunch will be served,
cost is $5.00. Sign up in the Fellowship Hall after church services on Nov

CIRCLE 4 will meet Tuesday, November 18th at
12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Pastor Jeff Silliman will
be leading us through the Horizons Bible Study Guide -
"Reconciling Paul." 

PW NEEDLEWORK – will meet on Wednesday, November 5, at 1:00 p.m. in Room 1.
If you are interested in learning how to knit or crochet or have done it in the past,
please come see what we do. We have a supply of knitting needles, crochet hooks and
yarn for your use. We supply shawls for the Shawl Ministry as well as giving a shawl to
whoever needs one.

CHURCH WOMEN UNITED’S WORLD COMMUNITY DAY CELEBRATION will be held on Friday, November 7th from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church.  The theme for the celebration is “Through God Our Hands Can Heal.”  This is a wonderful ecumenical celebration shared worldwide - offering an opportunity to learn and grow spiritually and personally.  Registration fee is $1.00 and lunch is $4.00.  If you are interested in doing some Christmas shopping, there will be a “World Community Bazaar."  Featuring The SHE Project (Struggle, Hope, Empowerment) – Pakistan products to benefit women and children in Pakistan. The Navajo Jewelry Project – Native American Jewelry to benefit their communities in Southern Utah.  The Vietnam Project – Vietnamese products to benefit overseas communities.  Also, Fair Trade Coffee will be there.  For lunch reservations, please contact Phyllis Allen at 801-298-7197 by Monday, November 3rd.

Your Cottonwood PW wish to notify all women of Cottonwood Presbyterian Church that we are members of P.W. Worldwide, an organization that encompasses the world and yet so close on Vine St. You are needed and wanted at all our functions. Looking forward to a new year of gatherings to serve our church. With your help we will have a successful, wonderful year of fellowship, mission work and growth.
