The Faith-Giving Committee
The Building-Initiative Task Force and The Faith-Giving Committee continue to do
great work, getting us prepared to tackle our building needs. Please keep these two
groups in your prayers, as well as yourself as together we seek God's guidance for how
best to make the Cottonwood building a powerful tool of ministry for the Kingdom of
God. This is a very exciting time, let each us find a way to get involved in the process.
April Update from Your Building Improvement Taskforce (BIT)
How do you like our new sign? Hard to miss Cottonwood now. Hopefully this will remind our neighbors and those traveling on Vine Street that we are here and that "all are welcome".
"Pardon Our Dust" – We've been waiting to say this and now, here we are!
If you've been at church lately you know what we are talking about. The new windows look great and, at this writing, are nearly complete. The cement steps into the courtyard are being removed with much "jackhammering". They were so thick and well-constructed it took two days and a heavy duty jack hammer to get the job done. This was necessary to complete prior to installing the new doors that will provide easier access for all and hopefully, additional use of the courtyard.
Beginning early April, we will need to remove the billboards, carts, benches and other items from our hallways in order to provide a clear and clean working environment for our contractors.
Next project on the list is the installation of the new, energy-efficient lighting in our classrooms and hallways. The lights have been ordered and are already in a warehouse in Salt Lake. Once our loan is approved (it is in process), we can move ahead with the lighting project. We should have approval the first of April.
We remain optimistic and excited about the projects we have planned as well as what we have already accomplished and how they will positively impact God's wonderful church at Cottonwood. Thanks for joining in the excitement.
Thank you again for your support and in advance for your patience as we continue our work. Respectfully submitted, David Schultz, CPC Building Improvement Taskforce
Stewardship & Building in Faith-Giving in Joy - Thank you for your faithful financial support of Cottonwood. As you know, we are engaged in an exciting time of expanding our ministry and renewing our building. Together our giving makes that possible. As we move through 2014 our support of the General Fund and the Building in Faith-Giving in Joy campaign is essential. Let us join together in praying for God's leading for how each of us can support our ministry and mission. It is a huge gift to be able to return some of God's abundance to our joint efforts at building up the Kingdom of God. God will bless our generous giving in beautiful and profound ways.
