The Faith-Giving Committee
The Building-Initiative Task Force and The Faith-Giving Committee continue to do
great work, getting us prepared to tackle our building needs. Please keep these two
groups in your prayers, as well as yourself as together we seek God's guidance for how
best to make the Cottonwood building a powerful tool of ministry for the Kingdom of
God. This is a very exciting time, let each us find a way to get involved in the process.
If you have been at Cottonwood lately, it’s impossible to miss the steady progress and improvements to God’s beautiful church.Much has happened since we began our “journey” back in February 2013. Most noticeable are the installation of the new energy efficient windows, our new church signs, the new roof over the narthex, the ceiling in the sanctuary, repair and painting in the courtyard and the list goes on.
We are right in the middle of several major projects as we speak; new interior lighting installation, painting, major renovation of the main lavatories, re-engineering of the parking lot island, concrete work on our sidewalks, railing repair, new LED lights for the parking lot just to name few.
We were somewhat delayed awaiting the loan approval and as a result many of the contractors that were ready to start work in January are now extremely busy with previous commitments. As you can see however, they are doing their best to work us into their busy schedules. If you happen by the church in the evenings you may see them “burning the midnight oil” in an attempt to take care of us. Please take a moment if you pass them in the church halls to let them know how much you appreciate the great work they are doing.
At this writing, most of the major projects should be completed by the end of August.
We remain optimistic and excited about what we have planned as well as what has been accomplished. Thanks for joining in the excitement.
Thank you again for your support and in advance for your patience as we continue our work. Respectfully submitted, David Schultz, CPC Building Improvement Taskforce
